URFM is equipped with several experimental facilities.

It coordinates and shares the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LBM) with four other research groups of the INRAE PACA research center. The LBM is open to non INRAE partners from the ECCOREV research federation.

URFM is also equipped with three climatic chambers used in particular for the study of bud phenology and the determinants of dormancy, as well seed germination or for the emergence of insects. URFM stores a large collection of leaf tissue and seed samples.

One of URFM’s main facility is the Font-Blanche connected forest, integrated to the ICOS and AnaEE scientific networks, where carbon and water budgets from the soil – plant – atmosphere are monitored hourly.
